2022 National Results

We were fortunate this year to have the Nationals held close at Mystic Lakes near Maize, KS.  Of all the Oklahoma skiers who competed, only one medaled.  Jerry Goodson, Duncan, placed 2nd in Men 4 Slalom.  Congrats, Jerry.

Larry Shaw, from Edmond, is one of the success stories of skiers new to competition skiing. He just started skiing tournaments this summer, competed in only 2 local tournaments and set a State Record in his age group (Men 9, age 75-79). He went on to compete in our Regionals and won his division which qualified him for Nationals. He was then gutsy enough to ski Nationals, placing 6th in his division and getting very close to medaling. He also ran a PB at Nationals, raising his own Men 9 State Record. Although he's new to competitive skiing, I'm sure he has manyyears of open water skiing under his belt. Look for him to keep raising his scores. (photo quality is not that good as I had to extract it from the webcast video)

Congrats also to these out-of-state skiers who are familiar faces at Oklahoma tournaments that medaled:
