2018 35+ World Championships

Although Oklahoma only had two skiers compete in the 35+ Water Ski World Championships held in late November recently near Santiago, Chile, both managed to end up on the podium. Todd Kuykendall, Enid, placed 3rd in the Men’s 45+ Slalom. Mike Bray, Marlow, also earned a 3rd place medal in the Men’s 65+ Slalom. To qualify for this event, you must be ranked in the top 15 on the World Rankings List. Individual athletes and teams from 23 countries competed in the six-day event for the world team title and individual world titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall. Congrats to both Todd and Mike on their individual wins. The United States Team won the event. Great Britain placed second with Germany placing third.

 Yay! Way to go U.S.A.!
